SP TAKEGAWA Small DN Tachometer with Rev Indicator
About quality and texture - Top quality. Sturdy stainless steel housing with LED lighting for display and all in a compact design.About the feeling of use - I find these tachometer kits that Takegawa offer very useful. This one has the higher RPM limit and rev indicator, so it's great for someone that loves to rev out these little engine often.Products to buy together - The ability to monitor the engine temperature when operating these engines in the high RPM often is a great idea and Takegawa also offer a compact LED thermometer kit that mounts to the handle bar clamp.Difficulty of installation - I find the kit easy to mount up to the Monkey and the setting up of this one is simple. The time consuming and sum what difficult part of the install is the routing of the wires and keeping this all OEM looking once completed.Cost performance and comparison with other products - All the different tachometers start around the same price point which is not cheap but definitely offers features that most people would use.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and usually arrives in Australia in 6 to 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Takegawa offer many options with their different tachometers and multi meters, so research the differences they all have to offer and choose the one that best suits your Monkey bike setup.
Installation is fairly easy with the aid of searching YouTube. Setting wise need some google translate on the instruction manual, which already stated the recommended setting View Detail
The fitment was great installation onto a Honda monkey 125 and the parts needed were in the box for a clean install the only problem I can't read Japanese so I used Google lens to change to English also shipping is super fastView Detail
* About quality and texture, Universal tachometer that is positioned nicely next to the OEM cluster with a specific mounting bracket for the Monkey 125 and connects up to the OEM harness with a specific adapter harness for the Monkey 125 also.* About the feeling of use, The OEM cluster is very cute with it's blinking eyes and I was not wanting to change out the whole cluster on this motorcycle but the absence of the engine RPM was terrible. This product has now resolved my issue with minimal change on the appearance in this area.* Products to buy together, I am still wanting a clock to glance at while riding and the polished analog handlebar mounted one available here on Webike will look great on my Monkey.* Difficulty of installation, The install process of this kit was very enjoyable with the mounting of parts, laying of wires and gauge setup. The process was completed in 90 minutes with no difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, The cheapest option for a tachometer for the Monkey 125 is from Daytona but for the little extra cost of the SP Takegawa one is definitely worth it as the styling matches so much better.* About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 6 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, SP Takegawa now offer a tachometer kit with a built in digital clock if you prefer that feature over the rev indicator. Use the product reviews to assist in making a decision on your purchase.View Detail
The left mounting post seperated from the meter body at the weld during install. At first I thought I over torqued it but I discovered rust color at the both the post and meter. I assume this is a bad weld so I gave 3 stars.View Detail
It's a stylishly equipped tachometer that motorcycles don't have. When I open the product, there are two instruction manuals and this makes me confused. One is a universal manual and the other is a manual for Monkey125. If you can distinguish the two well, it's not difficult to install.View Detail
This gauge is just the best you can buy for your CT125. Think of a useful function and this has it.Clear vision of the gauge as opposed to the factory embarrassment for a gauge.Gear position, ambient temp, oil temp, time, date, speed, lots of alarms and shift light function. This unit is effectively plug and play, apart from calibrating the actual speed, but that's just a case of inputting a few values and your away.Just remove the crappy factory unit, install the new frame for this gauge, install the Super Multi TFT meter, wire up to the factory coil, enter your magic calibration numbers and you're effectively do.I love this, and Webike was excellent to deal with as usual. My preferred supplier of parts for my CT125.Thank you!View Detail

View Detail
The original speedometer that comes with the CT125 is poorly illuminated and offers very limited functionality which really lets the bike down. Enter Webike and the TAKEGAWA 'Super Multi TFT' meter. It fits the location of the factory gauge via a included bracket, and is fairly easy to fit to your bike. One major issue that most purchasers face is the lack of instructions in English. Google Translate or similar certainly help with this. That is the only negative, the fit and function of this instrument is fantastic. Bright, large font where needed, a very modern TFT display and needle sweep of the tachometer on ignition. Information such as speed, RPM, time, date, external temp, fuel quantity and other speed, shift light and alarm settings make for one excellent gauge.Service from Webike Japan was excellent as expected, and I received my parts as ordered within a few weeks.View Detail
About quality and texture - The standard G-Craft billet aluminium raw finish with a clear anodize that never gets old or fades.About the feeling of use - Just a beautiful part with it's etched G-Craft branding around the cap, very happy I chose this one over any of the coloured options from other brands for this location.Products to buy together - The G-Craft service hole cap and engine cap for the left engine cover are perfectly matched to this filler cap and make a great set.Difficulty of installation - Installation of the filler cap is just simply re-using the O-ring from the Honda OEM cap and tightening down by hand.Cost performance and comparison with other products - There are cheaper and more expensive billet aluminium oil filler caps from the other brands. This one looks to be priced around the mid points but don't let a few dollars either way make your decision. You should be purchasing based on the style you like the best.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - If there isn't an oil filler cap to your liking in the Monkey 125 listing then go chechout what's available for the Grom as they will also fit.View Detail
About quality and texture - You are getting a set of billet aluminium caps with a silver anodized finish. The design looks to be well thought of with the grooves on the inside of the cap to additionally help with transfering the heat from the oil to the outside fins.About the feeling of use - The silver finish doesn't match the silver engine of the Monkey 125 so that my bother some people but not me. The caps warm up just like the Honda OEM caps but now with the fins exposed to the air flow this area can add some cooling effect to the engine oil.Products to buy together - If you have increased the performance of your 125cc engine and are still looking for more cooling then the Kitaco high mount 3 row oil cooler kit specifically designed for the Monkey 125 will be a nice additional purchase.Difficulty of installation - Installation of the tappet cap set is just simply re-using the O-rings from the Honda OEM caps and tightening down the Kitaco caps with the included allen head bolts. A small amount of oil will come out when the lower tappet cap is removed but that's nothing to worry about.Cost performance and comparison with other products - This purchase has to be the best value finned tappet cap as you are receiving 2 caps and not 1 like the finned tappet cap from G-Craft. If you just want billet caps without fins you can get them much cheaper.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Also available with a black anodized finish to match the black engine of the Honda Grom.View Detail
About quality and texture - This product is made up of a multitude of parts, steel material used for the base plate for the strength in case of a fall and aluminium material is used for the guard plates and protector to keep it as light as possible.About the feeling of use - With the addition of some protective items fitted to the Monkey 125 I feel more at ease knowing that if I have a small accident that the motorcycle parts will be saved.Products to buy together - Kitaco have many beautifully machine aluminium anodized parts but their left crank case cover has the ability to also protect the engine cover so is perfect to add for some additional fall protection.Difficulty of installation - The included instructions show the sequence of lining up all the parts and they simply secure to the fork guard mounting tabs with the included longer bolts. I'd also recommend using a thread locking product.Cost performance and comparison with other products - A high priced product from Kitaco but so are similar products from the likes of G-Craft. Looks like if you want fall protection with some style it will cost you some dollars but in the event they come into use will save you even more.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Not stated by Kitaco but these front fork guards can also be used to raise the front end of the Monkey 125 using a maintenance stand.View Detail
About quality and texture - One solid machined aluminum cover with a cool design and smooth anodized finish to hide the ugly starter motor housing.About the feeling of use - When you are using a low mount exhaust on the Monkey 125 the starter motor is no longer hidden by the exhaust pipe and this part ready dresses up the area.Products to buy together - Kitaco have many fine aluminium billet parts and one that will also dress up a poor looking Honda OEM part is the clutch cable receiver bracket.Difficulty of installation - Installation of this cover is just removing the Honda OEM mounting hardware, then positioning the spacers and cover and tightening down the included longer bolts.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Not a cheaply priced part but still more affordable then the one available from Posh and much better looking in my opinion.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - The starter cover is not the same for all year Groms and Monkey 125 motorcycles, Kitaco have 2 versions available so be sure to select the correct one.View Detail
About quality and texture - The washers are machined aluminium with an anodized finish and the dome nuts are stainless steel which is nicer then the Honda OEM soft steel chrome version.About the feeling of use - I chose the red anodized finish to add somemore highlights to the Monkey 125 and am really liking how they look with the red highlights on the upgraded rear shocks.Products to buy together - For more red highlights adding the Kitaco aluminium key box cover to my was a must and Kitaco have many more to choose from.Difficulty of installation - Installation was no problem and all you need it a ratchet and socket to complete the job, be sure to just change one nut and washer at a time so you don't have an issue with the suspension moving.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Priced well and cheaper then the version SP Takegawa have. I also prefer the Kitaco styling of the coloured washers with the stainless nuts.About shipping and packaging - Sea freight is my preferred shipping option and arrives in Australia within 8 weeks from dispatch. Always well packaged to ensure parts arrive safety and are ready for use.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - When you decide you are going to start adding highlighted parts like these to your motorcycle, think about all the parts you might like to add before purchasing the first one so you make the right decision about which colour to go with.View Detail
